2. Giveaway Period
The giveaway begins September 26, 2026 10:07 AM. Entry period closes when the fundraising goal is reached. A winner is selected by the Sponsor after entries close. Sponsor’s server clock is the official timekeeping device for online entries.
3. Eligibility
Open to individuals who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, and persons directly involved in administering the giveaway, together with members of their immediate households, are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
4. Prize
The prize is: 13-inch iPad Pro Wi‑Fi 1TB with standard glass - Silver. Win one of Dylan’s absolute favorite devices — a brand-new 13-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi with 1TB of storage in Silver.
This giveaway also includes 1 year of AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for added peace of mind.
Whether it’s for communication, creativity, entertainment, school, or everyday life, the iPad has been an incredibly important device for Dylan, which makes this giveaway especially meaningful to the Happy Smiles Foundation. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $2,250.00.
5. How to Enter for Free — By Postal Mail Only
Free entries are accepted by postal mail only. Free entries sent by email or submitted online are not accepted. No purchase, payment, or donation is necessary to enter or win.
To enter for free, complete these steps:
- On a 3" × 5" card, handwrite your full name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, date of birth, email address, and daytime telephone number.
- On the opposite side, handwrite: “I want to enter 13-inch iPad Pro Wi‑Fi 1TB with standard glass - Silver.” Include your chosen entry allocation from the list below. Choosing an allocation does not require a donation.
- Place the card in a stamped #10 business envelope. Handwrite your complete return address and the mailing address below on the envelope, and send it by postal mail.

Submit one card per outer envelope. The card and envelope must be legible and handwritten. Your entry must be received before the entry period closes: Entry period closes when the fundraising goal is reached.. A postmark alone does not establish timely receipt. Incomplete, late, or mechanically reproduced entries are invalid. Providing an email address on your card is for identification and winner notification only; it does not permit entry by email.
The available entry allocations are:
- 10 entries — available free; the website may also display a suggested contribution of $10.00 for supporters who voluntarily choose to donate.
- 25 entries — available free; the website may also display a suggested contribution of $25.00 for supporters who voluntarily choose to donate.
- 60 entries — available free; the website may also display a suggested contribution of $50.00 for supporters who voluntarily choose to donate.
- 150 entries — available free; the website may also display a suggested contribution of $100.00 for supporters who voluntarily choose to donate.
Limit: one entry allocation per person/email address for this giveaway, regardless of whether the entrant uses the free method or the optional contribution path. A contribution does not entitle a person to an additional entry allocation after that person has entered.
6. Optional Contributions
An eligible person may voluntarily support Happy Smiles Foundation while entering. The same entry allocations are available without payment through the free entry method. Contributions are not required to enter or win. Sponsor makes no representation in these Official Rules regarding the tax deductibility of any contribution; donors should consult their own tax adviser.
7. Entry Verification
Using multiple email addresses, false identities, bots, or third-party services to evade entry limits is prohibited. Sponsor may request reasonable proof of identity, residence, age, and control of the entry email address. An email address alone does not establish ownership of a disputed entry. Verification standards apply equally to free entrants and contributors. Sponsor may pursue lawful remedies for deliberate tampering.
Entries are subject to verification. Sponsor may disqualify entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, automated, submitted using false eligibility information, or otherwise violate these Official Rules. A potential winner may be required to provide proof of age and eligibility before a prize is awarded.
8. Random Drawing and Odds
After the entry deadline, Sponsor will randomly select one eligible entry from all eligible entries recorded for the giveaway. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. A person need not be present to win.
9. Winner Notification and Verification
Unless a longer period is published before entries open or required by law, a potential winner must respond within three business days after the first notification attempt by email, telephone, or postal mail and return required documents within seven calendar days after they are sent. Undeliverable notices or missed deadlines may result in selection of an alternate eligible winner. Tax information must be returned through the secure method specified by Sponsor and must not be posted publicly.
The potential winner will be contacted using the information provided at entry. The potential winner may be required to sign eligibility, liability, tax, and publicity documents where lawful. If the potential winner cannot be contacted, is found ineligible, refuses required documentation, or fails to claim the prize within the period stated in the notice, Sponsor may select an alternate winner by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
10. Taxes, Fees, and Prize Conditions
Any cash alternative, shipping or pickup arrangements, delivery deadline, and included expenses must be disclosed in the prize-specific terms. No cash alternative is promised unless expressly offered. Vehicle title, registration, insurance, transportation, and operating expenses are the winner’s responsibility unless expressly included. Any license or insurance requirement for delivery must be disclosed in the prize-specific terms. Sponsor provides no additional warranty beyond any expressly stated warranty; manufacturer warranties and rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected. A difference between approximate retail value and actual value does not entitle the winner to a cash payment except where required by law.
The winner is responsible for taxes and any costs not expressly stated as part of the prize. Sponsor may issue tax reporting forms when required by law. No substitution or transfer is permitted except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
11. Publicity and Privacy
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize permits Sponsor to announce the winner’s name and city for giveaway administration and publicity. Personal information is handled according to Happy Smiles Foundation’s Privacy Policy. Marketing consent, if separately requested, is not a condition of entry.
12. General Conditions
If fraud, technical failure, legal requirements, or circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control materially affect administration, Sponsor may take corrective action only as permitted by applicable law. Any lawful material change will be posted with an explanation. Sponsor will preserve valid entries where practicable and will not favor contributors over free entrants, arbitrarily disqualify entrants, or use this provision to avoid a legal obligation to award an advertised prize. This provision does not authorize cancellation where prohibited by law.
13. Governing Law
These Official Rules are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Void where prohibited.
14. Release and Legal Rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, entrants release Happy Smiles Foundation and its officers, directors, employees, and agents administering the giveaway from claims arising from participation or acceptance or use of a prize, including ordinary technical failures, postal delays, and third-party interference outside their reasonable control. This release does not cover fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be released or limited. Nothing excuses Sponsor from its obligations under these rules or applicable law or removes mandatory protections under laws applicable to an entrant.
15. Platform and Brand Independence
Unless expressly identified as a sponsor in the prize-specific terms, Facebook, Instagram, other social media platforms, and prize manufacturers or brands do not sponsor, endorse, or administer this giveaway. Entry information is provided to Happy Smiles Foundation, not to a social media platform.
16. Severability and Non-Waiver
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision once does not waive future enforcement. These rules and the published prize-specific terms govern the giveaway; informal statements and social media posts do not amend them. Later revisions will not retroactively remove rights attached to valid entries except as required by law.
17. Winner Information
After verification, request the winner’s first name, last initial, and city and state by contacting contact@happysmilesfoundation.org or mailing a request identifying the giveaway to the address above. Disclosure is subject to applicable privacy law. Public winner information will not include street addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, or tax information.
